There was a small agility area for dogs to train. Roofus tried it out but clearly he was not having it.
He was coaxed and pulled but he was taken out prematurely because he just wasn't going through the obstacles.
After the agility debacle, on to shooting more dogs. These rescue dogs were cool.
Clowns!
Jake got a new bandana. It doesn't quite fit his personality but it's pretty cool.
Jackson Deville was out and about. I gave him a high five later on.
The kids walking their dogs... I almost forgot to mention this was the first time I shot with a battery grip. I bought a knock off battery grip for my T2i. It is pretty cool.
These two were sniffing each other out.
Once the walk started, I put the camera overhead and shot blindly to catch the scene.
This was a great dane indeed. Huge dog, very nice.
This was one of the smallest, yet proudest dogs out there.
Wide angle shot as we approached the section on the river walk.
The spiral ramp on the river walk. I've seen this many times on my walks here but never had my camera or never thought of shooting it. I saw all the people on it and thought it'd make a nice photo.
Clown!
I like this photo. I'm a big fan of sharp photos and I try to get every one of mine as sharp as this. On top of that, I like the composition and subjects as well which are actually more important than sharpness.
Jewlie was tired apparently.
The sun was really bright that day. I shoot RAW so I was able to bring this back but the highlights were blown out slightly. I tried adjusting the exposure but couldn't get it. I shoot mostly in aperture priority but couldn't adjust it enough, even in manual to get it right in camera.
I kept trying to get the exposure right but just couldn't. There was no cloud cover, the sun was in full force. I was able to get it close enough to adjust in Lightroom so it's all good.
There were some issues with scheduling convenience but we had a great time and glad we went. The Mutt March is a great event. It's nice to see all the dogs and their owners having a good time.
I have a few more pictures over on Flickr in the Mutt March 2014 set.
